Fall 2024 class starts 15 Aug – 12 Dec / Thursdays 630-930pm / Registration ends 24 Aug

We offer a Bible course taught by Pastor John Yates out of Monroe, Louisiana.  This class is one of six semesters that will take you through the Bible in three years and will earn you a degree or credits accepted by several Bible colleges.  The semesters run January through May for the Spring semester and August through December for the Fall semester.

You do not need to be a member of the church to take these classes.  If you are interested in reading the Bible all the way through and want to gain a more in depth knowledge, please contact us for more information.

Praise & Testimony Service

We will be holding a special Tuesday night service on 26 November at 7pm, where testimonies of God’s greatness in our lives will be shared.  Please note, this service will take place of our Wednesday night service.  There will not be a service on 27 Nov due to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Welcome to Central Baptist Church’s website! Central Baptist Church is an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church located in Yorktown, VA and serves Yorktown, Newport News, and the greater Hampton Roads area. Central Baptist Church is located right off of Hampton Highway and is very easy to find. At Central you will find an exciting youth program for your children, teens and young adults and an active family ministry.  Additionally, we offer ASL (American Sign Language) translation during each service. We are a church that loves the Lord, loves others, and who wants to get the Gospel out to the community and around the World!

Our kids are consistently faced with challenges to their faith and as the next generation of believers they must learn the Bible and how to defend their beliefs.  At Central, we offer many opportunities and classes for your children to learn, grow and connect with God and other children in their age groups.

Discipleship Class

After accepting Jesus Christ as your savior, the desire to learn more can be exciting and overwhelming.  We offer a discipleship class to help you navigate the Bible, grow as a Christian in the faith and to learn how you can serve your great God!  Please contact our Assistant Pastor to learn more.
